Our bodies are designed to intake and digest animal proteins. Following a strict vegan diet can lead to malnutrition.
vegan diets can be healthy, but as i have found this won’t lead you to weight loss. any healthy diet needs to be paired with exercise. also, avocados and olives are a great source of heart healthy fats, but not an ideal source of protein. seitan, tempeh, tofu, and beans are gonna be the best bet for protein.
oh and the commenter above is wrong, because any diet can lead to malnutrition if not planned appropriately. i have been a strict vegan for about 5 years and though it can take a lot of learning and research into what foods are most nutritious for your body, it is rather easy to get all that your body needs. whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or omnivorous, knowledge about nutrition is key.
